Our studio

Even as a fitness and wellness provider, we recognize that we can’t be everything to everyone. That’s why Empowerfit Fitness & Wellness studio encompasses a multidisciplinary team approach to all things necessary for a woman to live her best life. From fitness, nutrition, pelvic health, mental health counselling, reiki, and so much more, we’ve partnered together with experts in women’s fitness and wellness community to bring women the education and support they need (and deserve!) to find strength and feel empowered through their every stage of life.

Empowerfit believes that by developing consistent health and wellness habits, promoting pregnancy & postpartum education, supporting mental health and building community with other women, we empower women to truly live their best life.

At Empowerfit Fitness & Wellness, we don’t think of ourselves as a gym.  We are so much more than that. We are a community, a tribe, a family of women who know that we are better when we uplift one another.  We know it takes so much more than exercise and diet to make a woman health, happy & radiant.  We need to feel strong physically, mentally and emotionally to be our best and the saying goes “it takes a village”, and this my friend, is our village.

We have created a space that allows women to focus on every aspect of their well being under one roof, because, let’s face it, time is precious! And we know that if there is  piece of the puzzle missing, we can never truly be whole.  We deserve to be whole, amiright?!

Went to Empowerfit today for the first time… AMAZING!!! The studio was a great space, everyone was very welcoming, the small class sizes allow for some personal tips and the workout was challenging, fun and tailored to different fitness levels.

M E E T   T H E   T E A M

Christy is the owner of Empowerfit and has over 15+ years experience in fitness & wellness. Christy specializes in pregnancy & postpartum fitness, pelvic health and empowering women to challenge their beliefs and biases towards their own health to breakthrough the BS and get results!

Andrea is the Studio Manager at Empowerfit Sherwood Park. When she’s not welcoming our fab clients at the front desk or juggling balls to keep our studio running smoothly, you can find her reading a good book, catching up on episodes of The Bachelor or dreaming of her next beach vacation (Hawaii is her favourite destination!).

Andrea joined the Empowerfit team in April 2019. She left the corporate world in October 2018 to build her business @parkgirldesigns as a jewelry designer and business mentor. She’s thrilled to be part of the Empowerfit team to support women, at any season in life, to live their best lives.








Jill is a CSEP certified personal fitness training with a specialization in corrective exercise. She completed her schooling at the Northern Alberta Institute or Technology (NAIT) is currently working on my Holistic Nutrition Certification to better serve her clients.

Living a healthy lifestyle truly is her passion and she hopes to share that with as many people as she possibly can while helping them reach their goals.

Caroline graduated with a Bachelor of Physical Education with an Advanced Certificate in Athletic Therapy from the University of Alberta and strove to help as many athletes as she could, return to sport. She then got certified and started teaching group fitness classes and one-on-one fitness sessions and her training now includes more post-natal focus as she hopes to help moms feel that same strength and empowerment.






















Pamela’s passion is to identify and relieve “Pain” in the body and prevent any unnecessary dis-ease.  Working towards her Manual Osteopathic Therapy Certification, Pamela is trained to see the body as a whole and alleviate any imbalances. As a Registered Massage Therapist and a certified Louise Hay Workshop Leader and Coach, Reiki Master/Teacher and Access Bars Facilitator, Pamela works with the physical body; muscles, fascia, nerves and organs to relieve pain, remove abnormalities and restore function to the structural body.  Pamela uses all her experiences, intuition and training to give her clients a unique and personalised treatment, for long lasting results.

Jess is enthusiastic and passionate about the importance of strength training for women. Her knowledge of specific movements for rehabilitation and prevention of common injuries is extensive and she has an energetic and upbeat attitude. She provides a supportive and encouraging learning environment for her classes and clients alike.

When she’s not training, she loves climbing mountains, riding bikes fast, heavy squats and being a dog mom!

Samantha is a personal trainer, group fitness instructor and yoga teacher. Samantha is currently undertaking a Kinesiology degree at the University of Alberta, an 850 HR Classical Pilates Teacher Training in Canmore and finishing her 500 HR Yoga Teacher Training requirements. Following her first pregnancy (with twins), Samantha became passionate about all things pregnancy, birth, and beyond and took Jessie Mundell’s Postnatal Fitness Specialist Course and SNATCH: A Female Inclusive Approach to Kettlebell Training. She continues to work through her own postpartum journey and is excited to inspire other women along theirs. 

Do I have to be a mom to join?

It’s a common misconception that we cater only to the mom population. And while we are super passionate about pregnancy & postpartum, we don’t limit our members to that. We welcome ALL women of all stages of life to become part of our community!

what types of classes do you offer?

We love to lift heavy weights! But we also offer classes that focus more on functional full body movements, balance, mobility, stretching and everything in between.

which services are included in my membership?

Access to all of our daily classes are included in your membership.  Services such as nutrition, personal training, physiotherapy, etc. are all additional costs.

are there different types of memberships?

All of our memberships renew every 30 days and we have plenty of options to suit any lifestyle and budget. Check out our pricing page for all the details and to become our newest member!

are kids welcome?

Kids are ALWAYS welcome! We have an awesome room set up just for them and it’s always free.

how do we book a spot in class and/or appointments

You can book directly on our schedule page (navigate there using the menu above!) OR you can use the handy dandy Mindbody app. Save us as your fave and we will always pop up first!
