I’m so thankful for my friends.  I mean, who wouldn’t be happy to have a gaggle of ladies that are fun, smart, independent and just wild enough to keep you on your toes? When my son was born, none of my friends had babies and I found myself feeling really alone and lost in my new identity as a mom.   You can’t just go out on a whim, and hitting the party scene didn’t really have the same appeal (like I could find the energy or a clean shirt to wear anyways)  My emotions were all over the place, my body image was low and with a big cross country move, life was hectic.  Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always had a support system.  My husband is my perfect other half, my family is tight, and my bestie and me, well, we are soul mates.

But, you know that group of other moms that you hang with that just get all the gross, hectic, insane day to day stuff??  The ones that don’t think twice about wiping snot from your babies nose, or pull back the edge of your baby’s diaper and without flinching ask for the diaper & wipes.  What about those mom’s that tell you “drop your kids off for a few hours and get some rest” and actually mean it?

My son is now 6, and I also have an 18 month old daughter.  Just within the last year, I have finally found my “mom crew.”   They listen to my whining when the baby hasn’t slept in days,  we pick up each others favourite coffee on the way to birthday parties because kids (and husbands) always run late; we give advice, compassion, tips & tricks, and most of all support and NO JUDGEMENT for one another.  We hold each other up through the daily emotional rollercoaster of being a mom & wife, and even though it took me forever to find them – I could not be a happier, healthier, and better mom because of them.

It really does take a village to raise a child and as mom’s we need help from anyone willing to give it.  This was a big motivator behind me offering coaching from my home.  I want my studio to be part of your village.  I will offer you support, understanding, and a comfort zone to become empowered and healthy.  Bring your kids with you so they can play or nap in a space set up just for them.  Need a coffee or tea to get through the grocery shopping you have to do after your workout? I got ya covered. Need to vent and let off some steam? I’m all ears.

See you soon
